This fall, the Sault Striders will once again be hosting their popular “Learn to Run” Couch to 5K program! This 9 week program will help you get from zero to a 5K/30 minute run, using the tried-and-true walk/run method. Each week, you’ll run a little longer and walk a little less.
When and Where?
The Fall 2025 Learn to Run Couch to 5K is on Sunday evenings at 5pm at Bellevue Park (2nd parking lot at the end of Lake St). We will be following the schedule in a free app, where you’ll do 3 walk/runs per week. “Day 1” will be on Sundays, and the “Day 2” and “Day 3” sessions will be ones you complete on your own before the following Sunday’s run.
When: Sundays at 5pm from September 7 through November 2
Where: Bellevue Park (2nd parking lot at the end of Lake St. – same starting point as parkrun!)
(And if you ran with us in the spring, you’re already a member for the year – you can just show up!)
What app are we using?
We’ll once again be using the free and basic “Just Run” app. It’s available for download for Apple or Android. The run and walk segments are based on time, not distance.
